Reading is one of Britains busiest stations, handling 14 million passengers every year.  Some 730 trains every day serve Reading Station, taking passengers to destinations across the country, in particular London Paddington.

The complicated track layout at the Station and limited platform space formed a bottleneck.  This caused delays which sometimes meant that trains had to wait outside the station for a platform.

Customers at the Station have benefitted from:

  • A spectacular new passenger bridge improving access to all platforms
  • Two additional entrances to the North and South of the Station
  • Four enhanced new platforms coming into service
  • More than 100 new customer information screens

Titan Interior Solutions Ltd were responsible for the installation of a Luxalon timber panel ceiling to the new transfer deck.  In addition, Titan installed the new partitions, linings, metal and plasterboard ceilings to the new platform buildings, subway, switch room and existing platform buildings which was linked via a transfer bridge across a live railway.
